The consumption of animal-based products is central to a balanced diet. As with all foods, excessive intake is not recommended, but consumption in line with dietary guidelines is beneficial for health. These products have high nutritional density, meaning they provide many essential nutrients to the body for a moderate caloric intake.

This document outlines, on the one hand, the role of meat and dairy products in the diet of the French population, and on the other hand, the importance of these foods for consumer health.

Indeed, they are part of the daily diet for most French people, and national nutritional guidelines exist for their consumption.

Red meat offers many nutritional benefits when consumed in a balanced and moderate way. It helps meet a significant portion of nutritional needs, providing high-quality protein rich in essential amino acids, as well as key vitamins and minerals.

Milk and dairy products, naturally rich in essential nutrients (proteins, calcium, vitamins, etc.), make a significant contribution to overall nutritional intake and dietary quality. Thanks to their wide variety, they hold an important place in a healthy and balanced diet at every stage of life.

Finally, the sanitary safety of animal products is ensured through constant and rigorous controls within ruminant farms, with consistently high results.
