A hub organisation in knowledge and innovation transfer
The board of directors
is composed of:
- 7 value chains livestock farmers federations (dairy cattle, beef cattle, beef calves, dairy sheep, meat sheep, dairy goats, equines)
- technical livestock farmers organisations
- National association of agricultural cooperatives
- National association of agricultural chambers
It consults with the Ministry of agriculture.
4 value chain committees associate:
- value chain organisations (CNIEL, INTERBEV, ANICAP, FGE),
- technical organisations (Agricultural chambers, FCEL, FIEA, GDS France, Races de France, ALLICE…),
- economic organisations (Coop de France, FNIL, FNCL, FNICGV, SNIV…),
- and public bodies (FranceAgriMer, ministries).
They decide on the research program orientation according to present concerns and challenges.
The scientific orientation council
Chaired by INRA (National Institute for Agronomic Research), it associates livestock stakeholders and ensures consistency and complementarity of works.
